Meet Patrice Peck. A multimedia storyteller always on the move.
Her work can be found at places like The Huffington Post, NBC, EBONY.com, and BET.com.
Here’s an interview that I wrote for EBONY on Olympian Nzingha Prescod (click the photo.) She’s a Brooklyn-born fencer headed to the 2012 summer Olympic games with the U.S. national women’s fencing team.
“Prescod seldom shares her Olympic news with others, but often leaves listeners dumbfounded when they hear the sport. “I guess I don’t look like a typical fencer,” says Prescod. “It’s typically considered a white man’s sport. There aren’t a lot of Black fencers in the sport.”
Here’s my latest video piece done for EBONY.com. I produced this as part of a package that included a write-up interview with Nzingha. Sleep is hitting me, so I’ll return sometime tomorrow to write about this shoot and production more in depth. For the meanwhile, please share and enjoy!
